It’s already April and we’ve already passed Q1 of 2021. Last month was all about women (yay!) and I had the privilege of being interviewed by a few publications on my work with female empowerment through Supparetreat. The idea of empowerment has been thrown around and its become this overarching theme to help women rise […]

I never thought I would be writing another entry so soon and yet here we are! As I was exchanging greetings via FaceTime with different family members residing in Canada, my sister and I got into a conversation about the way we grew up. We talked about the pressures that her kids face and how […]
In my previous years, I used to create a motto each year to give myself a direction for the following year. This year I challenged myself to really think about what success will look like in 2021. This past year, my discipline for other things in life were slipping away while I was caught up […]
It was a couple days before our government in Malaysia put us all on a “looser” lockdown again as cases of Coronavirus started to come up – and I felt compelled to foster a puppy. I’ve always wanted my own dog but pets weren’t allowed so its taken me a couple more decades to finally […]

It’s time to dust off the cobwebs on this blog and claim back the midnight thoughts I got started on a few years ago. If anyone has been reading for awhile, you’ll notice that I’ve been on quite a journey. Every time I feel like I’m moving forward, life puts me back a few more […]
For most of my life, I was raised as a Christian. I accepted Christ when I was 9 years old because I believed in Jesus and the John 3:16 story that defines every Christian. However, believing in the concept of Jesus and reconciling it with my own faith was another story. If you have grown […]
In the past couple of months, I’ve been evaluating my friendships, my relationships and my work life, all in the name of bettering myself. Being the face of Supparetreat also meant that each opportunity I ask women to be vulnerable is also the time for me to be vulnerable. The only way to be honest […]
One of the biggest life lessons I’ve had to through is the multitude of rejections I’ve had to face in my career. In this era of not knowing which direction to walk towards, or the fear of not amounting to your own expectations, its so easy to feel paralysed by your own thoughts. Facing rejection […]

I had a conversation with a friend earlier this week and we were talking about my pivotal moments. It’s crazy how just a few years ago I had uprooted my life back to Toronto in search for greener pastures. It seems my life path has always been out of urgency and great importance to me […]
What a sobering sentence. As I navigate through new stages in my life and play witness to other people’s experiences, I find we tend to circumvent the concept of being alone while putting other excuses in its place. But let’s be honest, the difficulty isn’t really accepting the idea of being alone, but the shame of […]
I just wrapped my latest project slated to be out this August and it was a very meaningful project in many ways. This will be the first time, Malaysia would see me act. I loved the feeling of stepping on to a set and being part of an ensemble cast talented in their own right. I got […]
I’ve noticed that I’ve been very “judgy” as of late. (I’m the quintessential ENTJ in the Meyers-Briggs personality test), I think my judgemental quality stems from being conscious of how I portray myself in public which then makes me look/judge others in the same way. Especially since I’m in my 30s and I have friends of the […]
I started out my career in Malaysia with insecurity and fear of judgement. I was also in my early 20s, beaming confidence while hiding many pockets of self-uncertainty and a bit of luck in the genetics lottery. My hustle was often predicated on being two steps ahead of poverty. After purchasing a one-way ticket, I had no […]
Everyone always preaches about how people should follow their dreams and pursue happiness. I’m a huge believer in it, don’t get me wrong, its just that dreams come at a cost. The struggle and the sacrifice you make for what you want is visceral, tangible and usually irreversible.
I was going to write another article about how kids are so ungrateful nowadays but I’ve decided to opt out of it! (Lucky you, millennials!)Instead I thought I’d shed light about how most of decisions have been based on finding value in the things I do. Aside from being motivated by passion and determination, it […]
I’ve been feeling rather annoyed these days, it seems everyone wants a shortcut to everything. A quicker faster route to work, a shortcut to a great career, a shortcut to a good body or even meeting someone. We keep idolising success and want to fast track our journey because we see others around us in […]
Lately, I’ve had different girls talk to me about the same topic, sex. While some of my friends are happily married, some of them are still single playing the field, and the rest are just playing everyone in the field! As women in our late 20’s – early 30’s, the idea of dating, hooking up and looking for the […]
My dear, sweet, not-so innocent Sarah. 10 years ago, meaning January 2005, you’re just finishing your second year at Ryerson, falling madly in love with a guy that you think you’ll marry. You think most of your life will be spent in Canada but you have no idea that things will change so quickly in […]
Last weekend, I completely lost my voice after 15 hours of hosting a sports event called The Juggernaut Malaysian Open 2015. Even though I call myself a fitness enthusiast, I would probably look like a fitness wannabe next to these athletes. This was like the most legit form of pumping iron, minus the speedos and tanning […]
This post is really a tribute to my Canadian upbringing while realizing the more I try to be “Asian”, the more I’m not. I’ve been having revelations about myself recently. Actually, it stems from my bff T who’s been going through her “I’m American” phase that has started to make me question my own identity. […]
The most annoying thing which I hate to hear is when people say “…but you’re famous”. As if fame supercedes everything in life and all logic. There are a series of expectations that go hand-in-hand with that phrase which sometimes I don’t understand. So imma break it down:
Feb 15-My mother visits Malaysia once every five years from Vancouver. This visit she spends her first Chinese New Year with our Tan family after missing the festivities for over 20+ years. This Saturday morning, she opened the door at 8am and showing me the outfits she’s deciding on for Reunion dinner; she’s as much anxious as she […]
Take a look at my journey with Beverly Wilshire Medical Centre. Last month, I gave CoolSculpting a try. For those of you who don’t really know what that means, CoolSculpting is a non-surgical fat reduction technology which gently and effectively targets the fat cells underneath the skin while leaving the skin itself unaffected.
Hellllloooooo 2015! This year is a brand new year and I’ve got a brand new motto! As you can tell from the title of this post, it is Connect/Kinect. This year I want to focus on developing my relationships and connecting with people on a more personal level. Connections are about meeting places, common ground and […]
As the year wraps up and another one begins, here’s to a few of my highlights of 2014. 2014 was an interesting year no doubt. I officially moved back to Kuala Lumpur and was adamant about solidifying more sustainable projects for myself and build a base of focus and fearlessness. That’s where the “F Word” […]
So some of you may know that a couple months ago, I had suffered from dengue fever. It was a crazy couple of weeks that kept me bed-ridden and incredibly weak. But now looking back, I figure there were a few lessons I learnt from that experience so I thought I’d share with anyone that […]
When I moved back to Asia earlier this year, I decided that I wanted to help people. Aside from soup kitchens, gifting shoeboxes to orphans and little projects here and there, I have never dedicated any consistent time to helping charity. The lack of involvement with the community made me realise I had been very selfish […]
I thought I’d start to share a little bit about my beauty journey since most people have been asking me about the treatments I have been doing at Beverly Wilshire Medical Centre in Kuala Lumpur.
As we all know, every Halloween is a big deal for me. I’ve accepted it as the only day in the year where I can be truly creative. Nothing’s worse than being caught in the same costume as someone else. I much prefer making and handstitching my pieces together and claim to be as original […]
Holy Schmollyyyyy, I’ve been so incredibly MIA on my blog. I guess that’s a tell tale sign that I’ve been keeping busy for sure! I had some spare time to shoot a short video vignette on my iPad while I was chilling in my hotel in Beijing. Opposite House is my new favourite hotel!
TIFF TIFF TIFF. That’s pretty much what this city is going to be all about this week. I managed to check out a mini Pre-TIFF party with my friend Monica from Aime Luxury. Hosted by the Omega Group and ETalkDaily, this was a little bit of social media party in conjunction with Twitter Canada. Fun times […]
Had the pleasure of hosting a few fashion shows at KLFW – The New Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week featuring Ready-to-Wear Collections by designers in Malaysia. I gave a little intro to Alia Bastamam’s show on the final night of KLFW. What a fab collection, perfectly in time for raya too! Alia Bastamam KLFW RTW 2013
Man oh man, I take Pasar Malam for granted. When I’m in KL, I do frequent a few Pasar Malams here and there but it’s never a huge event. (Maybe if I’m craving Penang Asam Laksa) But I attended Night It Up for the first time since it’s inception (10 yrs ago?!) and got the […]
Hey ladies – ever tried hair extensions? I never thought I would ever have a chance seeing that I’ve got pretty thick hair to begin with. But after working on one of my films, I had to chop a significant amount of hair which left me in an awkward – not quite long, not quite […]
I’m happy to announce that I will be represented by Daniel Abrams from OAZ – Oscar Abrams + Zimmel in Toronto. This will be an exciting new direction and I hope that this new relationship will be a great step forward in my career! For any inquiries, please contact: Daniel Abrams oscars abrams zimel + […]
So its almost 5am and I’ve just spent a good night singing karaoke with my friends and family on a Friday night. I should be alseep by now but I’m kept up by watching all these videos created by political parties or independent communities revving up an election storm in Malaysia which will be happening on […]
In my last post, I indulged in every possible craving I had in LA. Actually, it didn’t start there, it probably started during the last week I was in KL because I love Malaysian food, and then it continued in Vancouver because it had been over a year since I visited my hometown. Which then […]
During one of my quiet times this past summer, I decided to check out Toronto’s Public Library on Yonge/Bloor to find a good monologue piece. Since most of the workshops that I work on tend to be for my audition prep, I wanted to try something a little different. Inspired by a few pieces, I […]
It’s the last month of the year and I’m glad I get a chance to celebrate it in Asia this year!! With a scheduled family Christmas BBQ next week, an honorary Christmas stocking at a friend’s family shindig, plus a Girly Getaway in Bali this month is going to be jam-packed with awesome events. Not […]
Just before flying out for my big Asia trip, I was able to reconnect with my fellow Ryerson Fashion Alumni Monica Mei. I attended her Soft Launch of her bricks-n-mortar boutique during Toronto’s Fashion Night Out and was a huge supporter of her new collection!
Last week, I was invited as a guest on Raj Aria’s Morning Bell Talk Show on Capital TV. He dropped by my Halloween party and we tried to schedule the interview before my quick trip to Hong Kong. We talked about Malaysia, Canada and everything between!
I know I haven’t been that great about updating my blog but it has been quite crazy since I landed in this side of the world. On my stopover in HKG, I auditioned for an American film to be shot in Hong Kong and after a Skype meeting with the producers, I was offered a […]
I was invited on Astro Supersport’s Football Overload last Thursday to shoot an episode as a guest with Patricia K. They were featuring us in conjunction with hype for FHM’s 100 Most Wanted Women 2012. I had a total blast and it was my first interview back in Malaysia. Barely a week into the city […]
So this year’s Halloween was quite fun as I also made it a homecoming party in KL. I wasn’t too sure if everyone was going to dress up even though I made sure the invite was very clear about mandatory costumes. (You never know, sometimes people are too cool to dress up) However, I was […]
This has been quite an eventful week! I’m super happy because Cybergeddon is finally released! This 9-part web series was released via Yahoo! to audiences in 25 different countries and 10 languages!  We shot this in Hamilton and Toronto under a  month and I had a chance to meet quite a good handful of the […]
This entire week has been a very interesting daze for me. I have been feeling rather unsettled before going to bed and then I find myself reluctant to wake up. My spirits are always rattled when change is upon me and I have to readjust again. I’m leaving for Asia in less than 4 weeks, […]
I got ready for the first ever Fashion Night Out Toronto in style! My fellow Ryerson alum Monica Mei was ready to launch her fashion label AIME’s first ever bricks/mortar storefront at the posh Avenue/Davenport address. I arrived a little earlier so we could chat a little bit for her interview with CBC’s coverage of […]
I’m totally overdue on some of my blogging so you awesome people can stay updated with my free and easy August. I spent a weekend volunteering for the Toronto organizers who played host to the 68th Annual North American Chinese Invitational Volleyball Tournament. Overwhelmed would be an understatement!
The weather has been fantastic and I’ve had the pleasure of doing quick runs around my neighbourhood. I enjoy the scenic route and the low traffic congestion allows me to enjoy my runs without having to wait for too many stop signs and traffic lights. The best part of exercising is seeing results.Â
My time has started to free up in the tail end of this summer and I’m ready to start working on my fun and silly projects. Quite a bit of stuff has been put on hold and I’ve now got a kick in the butt to whip myself back into action and to get cracking […]
Another epic party of sorts for us Citrus-ites. Had a great time trying to blow up little balloons and setting up for our Beach-themed party. Although most people weren’t really dressed like they were going to the beach, I still donned a bikini-top (underneath my blouse) to rock the night!
I’ve got just a few images to whet your appetites from my latest shu uemura inspiration shoot. Worked on another fun shoot and having fun exploring different makeup looks and techniques. I just love how makeup can really affect my attitude based on the colours that I choose or even with a seasonal change. After […]
Writing an overdue post on my episode with XIII. Aptly titled The Black Widow, the twists and turns of the show will reveal to you what it means. Got another chance to work with the crew and was practically there almost everyday of the episode. This meant I got a chance to get to know […]
Girls just wanna have FUN! I’ve been feeling like I’m on top of the world with a great work/life balance. I know my life is going well when I allow myself to have a little bit of fun and get a chance to spend time with my girlfriends. This is probably why I love being […]
It is really great to work with shu uemura again after having a great relationship with them in Malaysia. I had a chance to work with shu uemura official make-up artist Patricia Lee and we created a couple looks using glitter creams. You can check out the behind-the-scenes post here. Check out the final product:
A couple weekends ago, I had a chance to visit some friends (The Beans) who have recently relocated to Boston. I have never been there but was excited to check out the birthplace of America. Delicious meals, shopping bargains and walking tours, it was four whole days well spent! Here are few pictures from my […]
With all the hype surrounding basketball – free agents, contracts and blah blah blah. I saw this note written by photographer Dan Pak about his latest project with Nike Taiwan. He was sent to Kaohsiung, Taiwan to capture the feeling of basketball through Taiwan’s youth and I just love what he had to say…
Over the past week, I have been making use of my Bible app from YouVersion, using one of their plans as my daily devotion. I have written about my faith as a Christian but I’ve never been one to actively read the bible (or scripture) everyday. So this is a super new thing and I’ve […]
I’ve been slated for an appearance on Covert Affairs Season 3. I’m really excited because I get a chance to work with Piper Perabo. My character looks to her in admiration and I guess you could say its like art imitating life / imitating art. I’m thankful that I get these opportunities and being on […]
I had a mini-vacation over the weekend with some girlfriends (and their plus ones). In Toronto, people always talking about heading up to the cottage whether its Algonquin, Wasaga or Muskoka. One of the girls decided to plan out a trip and I was fortunate enough to join them!
I had the chance to work with Shu Uemura North America makeup artist Patricia Lee to work on Shu’s latest glitter collection. I usually keep my make up quite matte except for a few highlighted areas but I’m a huge fan of these new glitter colors. They have a very strong shimmer and really make […]
Words of wisdom from the late Jack Layton. Canada is a great country, one of the hopes of the world. We can be a better one – a country of greater equality, justice, and opportunity. We can build a prosperous economy and a society that shares its benefits more fairly. We can look after our […]
I’ve been working on spy series XIII – Season 2 and the entire experience has been such a blessing. After wrapping up work for my character, it’ll be a good few weeks that I would’ve spent working with an amazing crew and very talented actors/actresses.
Sometimes I don’t have much to say and sometimes I do. This time, just a little from me before my bedtime. I’m usually yawning by midnight and up by 8am. A stark contrast from a year ago. So here’s a quick glance of my highlights this past week:
Talk about a crazy week. I haven’t had a chance to announce on my blog (in case some of you don’t follow me on my Twitter or Facebook) but I have booked a role on the hit tv show XIII, starring Stuart Townsend and Aisha Tyler. It is a French+Canadian co-production which is on its […]

Le sigh. It’s already June! So much has happened in a month and I’m enjoying every single minute of it! I had fun birthday celebrations at the last Citrus party but unfortunately, I wasn’t able to upload them since I accidentally deleted my SD card while I was drunk, boo. Thankfully my girl Mel had […]
Yay! It’s out!! I wrote a blog about my fabulous experience working with a great, talented team out in Vancouver – Princess at Rosewood Hotel– a few months ago and it just got published in String Magazine’s First Issue – SS12. They took one of our photos and made it into a wonderful illustration and […]
Teja and I arrived in Washington DC after President Obama proclaimed that he supported gay marriage. But it didn’t seem like it was big news over there but I’m glad he did it. On that note, here’s a little trip that I enjoyed very much, even if it was just a couple of days.
I sent a long overdue email to Daily Chilli editor last week after I promised him an update 6 months ago when I saw him at the LiTV Link Launch in October. He got a great scoop and timed perfectly as the online article was published on my birthday – a little gift of sorts!
This month has been great for me so far. I auditioned for a couple roles on a film project. After visiting the casting room more than 4x in two weeks, I felt like I was hitting a wall and then suddenly, my agent gave me the best news – I booked a role! The film, […]
I was on the phone with B earlier this week about my see-saw feelings about my work. There’s always good news and bad news, good news and bad news. Its the nature of the business and the nature of being a passionate person. I try to keep things objective and look at numbers but sometimes […]
Its been a crazy week and work is starting to pick up. I always get excited around this time of the year cuz the weather is getting better and the sun peeks through my blinds in the morning to get me out of bed. I hear the ringing of the cyclists down my street and […]
While I was in Vancouver, I was invited to spend post-Christmas with some old friends. One of them, was telling me about this documentary he was producing for OMNI. Kevin is my friend’s older bro and also a friend of my sister – he’s been one of the first people I know who have been […]
I was rummaging through my files and found this spread that I forgot to blog about. I shot this in Hong Kong for IN Magazine as per request from my friend Tasha Ling, former Beauty/Fashion Editor. We got some great fancy gloves from On Pedder and added it to the mix.Â
I went on a silly vacation with my girl Mel in mid-Jan. Instead of putting up a million drunk photos of us, I decided on a video format which we sort of documented during our vacay. We took quite a few videos but most of them didn’t make the cut. I figured we’d go for […]
So this is Part 2 of my wonderful Niagara Shoot. (you can read Part 1 here)Â Most of these are taken on the last day of the shoot which began at 6am (practically 5am because of the time change) and ended after dinner with a long drive back to Toronto.
Last week we celebrated my girlfriend’s surprise (which was ruined because she saw us in the car on the way to the party – FAIL). I’m truly blessed to have a great set of friends out here in Toronto. A handful of them I met last summer as we all got a lot closer, and […]
My agent told me I booked a job without auditioning, HUGE SCORE! I wasn’t sure what to expect until the details of the shoot were forwarded to my email. Although it said, Tourism Ontario TVC for Niagara Falls encouraging couples to have a Little Romance, I read: The Bachelor: Overnight Date. I was anxiously waiting […]
I’m excited to announce that my mobile project in Hong Kong, Ask Ting Ting is now officially an iPhone/iPod app! Mobile Guide Asia Director Matt has been working tirelessly on Ask Ting Ting’s new strategies and I’m glad he’s ventured into the app market. We have put in so much energy, (more so he) and […]
I was on set last week as I booked a role on a documentary drama titled Cold Blood. In its 4th season, the show combines the thrill of a mystery with the visceral experience of true crime drama, Cold Blood returns to the crime scene so you can examine all the evidence for yourself. Each […]
Valentine’s was definitely special this year. I was able to volunteer for my friend’s organization CCYAA – Canadian Chinese Youth Athletic Association and go through what its like to be A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A SPORTS JOURNALIST. So thank you to Clem who asked me to help out while scoring a chance to […]
It already feels like its a loaded blog and one I haven’t even started writing yet. I recently watched a video about Ellen’s JC Penney controversy with One Million Moms and it just disappointed me. I think what made it worse was that they were using the name Christianity for their own agenda.
In the spirit of the All-Stars hockey game in Ottawa recently, my old episode of MYEG Xtra Time came to mind. I too had a moment to bask in the sun (in the literal sense) playing inline hockey with our Malaysian Underdogs. ESPN Xtra Time: Inline Skating (They Made Me Do It Challenge)
Oh the Rebels we were… a reference to my old high school mascot, Burnaby South Rebels. I never had a chance to make it to my high school reunion. Although everyone said nothing had changed much – aside from the new last names and a few baby bumps, the ones that remained in good ol’ […]
It’s 2012 and I’m a lucky girl cuz my issue comes out early! My highly anticipated cover for FHM is here! We shot this awhile back and they wanted to time it properly so here it is! I’ve got history with FHM so it was nice that I could shoot another coverstory with them again.Â
It looks like 2012 is starting off quite swell! Its not even the middle of the month yet and I’ve already done a handful of shoots, back-to-back from Vancouver to Toronto. So yippie from me! Work is good and the auditions are slowly rolling in again. Class has started and its time to bring it!
Mastering others is strength. Mastering yourself is true power. -Lao Tzu For my first post of 2012, I wanted to share my motto for the year. It comes from this quote and I hope it’ll be a good reminder for me to stay disciplined. My motto this year is: MASTER OF MY UNIVERSE.
Just trying to be a little more festive this year since my mom didn’t put up a tree and we haven’t quite got into the festive spirit yet. But just cuz I’m not doesn’t mean the rest of you aren’t! Merry Christmas and have an awesome New Year!!! Woooooooooo!!!~~
I had an eventful weekend spending some time with my friends in Vancouver. I was hanging out with my girlfriend Christine aka McAsshole over the past few days. She’s probably one of the only friends from high school that I still regularly talk to. We def have lots of mutual friends in common, which always […]
BMW Shorties is a short film festival for newbie filmmakers in Malaysia. It has launched quite a few careers and I had an opportunity to interview judges, winners and organizers over the years. It is a great way to support talent and help nurture with a hefty prize fund to give these filmmakers an extra […]
I know I’ve been horribly slow on updates but I can promise you I’m fine and dandy! I’ve been keeping busy with my own projects while trying to survive winter with a handful of sweaters. I’m so reluctant to buy warm clothes cuz I keep thinking I’ll never need it again. (I’m clearly scheming a […]
Wow, it has been a very long time. I don’t remember who brought it up but they talked about how celebrities blog because its quite trendy/popular. I started blogging even before this Xanga account but I think its quite cool that most of this stuff is still here. Tis’ a pity I wasn’t able to […]
Wow, I can’t believe I’ve been neglecting this blog. Actually I’ve been helping a friend out with her company and that has been keeping me busy. I had the opportunity to support a few of my fellow Millions cast members who had shows over the weekend.
The always fashion-forward Malaysian mag Oxygen asked me to take part in their shoot for their coverstory while I was in KL. This time we were gonna try something a little different and let the story + clothes do the talking. Petaling Street has been in the news as of late because of its iconic […]
Just before winter casts a shadow over Canada, I thought I’d post a few images from a shoot I did back in August. The trip back to Vancouver proved to be extremely positive for me filled with meetings, interviews, shoots and auditions. Not to mention reconnecting with my lil bro who’s been stationed in our […]
This year, I decided to continue with my Anime series again. Every Halloween I try to pick a relatively common video game/anime character and it has always been fun! This outfit was probably my most revealing one seeing that I was wearing underwear and socks.

theghay: I did a soft, smokey, neutral eye on Sarah Lian: lots of Hourglass eyeshadow duo in Gypsy (the greatest eyeshadow on the planet), which I paired with two of my favourite lipsticks – NARS’ Barbarella mixed with Honolulu Honey. Shot by Chris Naidu.
Friends in Manila, do check this out if you can. I’ve gotten to know a couple of the artists from Hong Kong who will be creating art for this event. So if you’re in Manila in mid-November, be sure to check out the exhibition! Unfortunately, I’m already on this side of the world so the […]
I’m all set for Halloween this year! Haven’t been this stoked about an event since last year, hah! If you all know, I’m a devoted to anime cosplay every year and this is probably going to be just as crazy. Let’s just say that she’s an hommage to the futuristic storylines inspired by this series. […]
I went to check out A|X’s 20th Anniversary Party at new hotspot KL Live (at Life Center) after a job I hosted a couple weeks ago. It was jam packed and I got to see a few familiar faces. They were serving yummy snacks including jellybeans and cakes. Plus a good serving of half-naked men […]
I’m back in Toronto now, it always feels like a 4-stop tour before I get to the East Coast. Kuala Lumpur – Hong Kong – Vancouver – Toronto and by the time I get back to this city, each stopover fades away. Thankfully, I get to read the awesome articles to remind me of my […]
I’m working on Secret Lab’s latest project in development. We shot yesterday and my entire body is paying for it. Secret Lab (based in Hong Kong) is churning out lots of amazing projects and this one has been in the works for a few years. I’m glad I finally get to work with Pat Lee […]
Just before I skipped out of town again, the fellas from POPTEEVEE invited me for another cameo for their latest episode. These guys are hilarious and I was reciting an excerpt in Malay from the recently published book about Islamic Sex by the infamous Obedient Wives Club (OWC). Before pointing fingers and judging them (if […]
After my quick trip to New Zealand, I was instantly booked for back-to-back shoots with various publications. Beauty stories, Fashion editorials and Spotlight features were what I shot a couple weeks back. I’ve been really horrible at blogging these days but hopefully when I get back to Canada (after Hong Kong) I’ll finally be back […]
During my last week in KL, I managed to hit up a few events before saying goodbye. I was invited to Li’s 1st Anniversary + the launch of their regional faces of the channel. Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong and Indonesia. Attending events are like hitting two birds with one stone. I get face time with […]
Even though I’m only back in KL for a holiday, I did manage to sort out a bit of work and have some fun at the same time. Ezra and I were joking about me coming on to do a couple fun things at POPTEEVEE’s That Effing Show. I have been a fan and a […]
This upcoming Thanksgiving weekend I’m heading out to spend some- long overdue time with my b. This distance hasn’t been that easy but we’ve managed to stay positive about our situation. Luckily I’m not the only one that finds myself in a long distance relationship. LDRs are quite common these days and more so for […]
So living out of a suitcase definitely has its perks but for the most part, its fairly difficult to explain to people where home is. I’d like to think that I’m one of many fortunate people in the world that can have more than one “home”. I’ve been back in KL for barely a week […]
Referring back to my Korea trip, I managed to catch up with a couple good friends who have relocated to Seoul. I also made lots of new friends courtesy of b’s network and I’m so glad that I got to meet them. They made me feel included and offered to take me around which was […]
Last month, I had the pleasure of working with Canadian fashion photographer/director Christopher Wadsworth on a shortfilm. This was a submission for Filminute: The International One-Minute Film Festival. I simply loved the dialogue and it was a great way to flex summadat acting muscle.
I finally went to Seoul and I had so much fun! I checked out the cute neighbourhoods and did a little sightseeing, it always helps when your travel buddy knows a bit of Korean. It wasn’t too difficult to navigate around the public transportation since they had English names too.
Wow, didn’t realize it was a month since my last video entry so I finally got off my lazy ass and worked on a little update. Guess where I’m going to next? Make sure you watch and you can see what I’ve been up to! 😉 VLOG #2 I Can’t Wait Subscribe to my CHANNEL

Jack. Canada will miss you. Your final words are a testament to the faith you have in Canada and her future. (July 18, 1950 – August 22, 2011)
The leader of Canada’s Opposition, New Democrat Jack Layton passed away today. It was a little bit of a shock, when he stepped down to focus on his treatment for Cancer, after a great victory you could tell that it wasn’t a good situation. He has advocated for hope and optimism for Canada’s future – […]
This weekend, I had the honour of co-hosting the 2011 Miss Asia Toronto Pageant. Even though it was completely unplanned, it was great to be involved to get back into MCing again. I never thought I’d miss it but live shows are always great and this time it was in 3 languages, so there were […]
A couple weeks ago I helped out my friend Ian with his viral marketing videos for Eden Advertising. I had an amazing time talking to the talented actors about our trials and tribulations in the industry. The crew was great and the shoot went smoothly.
I had the opportunity to share with Vancouver (and I heard Edmonton too) about the Millions project with OMNI News BC. OMNI is a great network to help spread the beans since its got a multi-cultural audience (much like our cast). It seems like everything is falling into place, I just want the rest of […]
Last month I was shuffling my flights around and spared a mini-trip to the West to spend time with family and start the PR engine for Millions. I unexpectedly scored a couple auditions, had a couple photoshoots, interviews and got to spend time with the people I love. Not too shabby!
ã¿ãªã•ã‚“ã€ã“ã‚“ã«ã¡ã¯ï¼ I clearly have too much time on my hands. So after surfing some blogs, I’ve realised that we have this obsession with BIG eyes and cute-sy smiles. So I thought what the heck, let’s give this a shot! Here’s my attempt trying to give off my best Kawaii– look!
So I was debating whether I should start a video blog. Then I was thinking about a conversation I had with my friend’s little sister on trying to get into the industry. I suggested that she start getting comfortable talking to a camera and maybe start a video blog. She took my advice and she’s […]
The best part about this business is that you never stop learning. I’m always inspired by the programs I watch and I’ve managed to do so with the lax sched this month. I used to be too busy to watch tv unless it was weekend marathons of drama series and etc but now I can […]
Unless you “follow me” on twitter or “like” me on Facebook, you probably won’t really know what I’ve been up to. July so far has been a very interesting month. I’m onto the next level of Improv at Second City and having such a blast. I was on the set of Total Recall to absorb […]
Got some help from Raffi and his designer to add a nice skin to my AlivenotDead account. For those of you who haven’t checked out this site, Alive not Dead is a community for you to connect with some of your favourite artists from all around the world. You can read their blogs, comment on […]
I had a wonderful interview with Beth Hong for Schema Magazine‘s PEOPLE TO WATCH column. We had an introduction from Jennifer Thym (LUMINA, Jasmine, Bloodtraffik, Mister French Taste) and I spoke a little bit about the recent projects that I’ve been involved with, primarily MILLIONS and Mister French Taste.
Wow, it seems like there is finally a serious demand for change in Malaysia. Yes, we’re talking about politics again but this time we’re talking about an unbiased democracy. I may be miles away but I have a love for this country that goes much deeper than the flesh of the durian fruit – so […]
A few of us Ryerson Fashion Alumni got together for a quick catch-up session. A couple of us haven’t lived in the city for years so this reunion was about 4 year overdue. Like we’ve never missed a beat, we all took turns talking about our love lives, work lives and new aspirations. The girls […]
I stumbled on this link via MILLIONS writer Andrew, and was incredibly moved by this project. Within Every Woman speaks to a few surviving women during WWII who were kept alive as comfort women. Most of them silenced and shamed all these years, and only addressing these issues now.
The weather in Toronto has been absolutely amazing. Unlike the May showers, June is proving to be lots of sunshine and beautiful skies. On Wednesday, I decided to head to the Beaches after my rehearsal. Had a really nice stroll along Queen and plopped myself at one of the parks and just read.
So clearly I’m not used to sitting around and having empty days…it’s a big change from my crazy schedules in Asia, booking flights every other week and coordinating shoot dates in different cities. I kinda freaked out this morning thinking that I misplaced my passport, simply because I haven’t seen it for a few months. […]
Although my party self comes out less frequently, I still get excited when all the ladies are ready for a night out! Citrus was held at Dolce, a beautiful club with a gorgeous patio near King/Bathurst. When Citrus first started we held our parties at this venue which was formally known as Tangerine. The numbers […]
I’ve been fortunate to have awesome producers who help me archive my ESPN work for my reel. We shoot little segments for the show and embed them into the half hour program. This video was shot in a vlog rant style and I think it probably shows my personality, being goofy and silly. Take a […]
Winnie from the Men’s Health team sent me some photos taken a few months ago and I got a few more of the outtakes. The weather in Toronto is getting quite gloomy and because i’m used to 30C weather, I can’t exactly stow away my warm clothes. The wind tunnels and dark clouds got the […]
Yesterday, I decided to scour the neighbourhood for good yoga studios. I gave Tula Hot Yoga a shot and tried the 75min Hot Hatha class. It was a great place to just unwind and sweat out all the toxins in my body and increase my flexibility. So by the afternoon, I was definitely feeling grounded […]
I think its safe to say that every girl in Malaysia dreams of landing on the cover of Glam. Well I know for a fact that I felt that way. It was an absolute honour to be gracing the front cover alongside the beautiful girls who are moving and shaking the industry in the country […]
I don’t have a TV at home and I was a little late trying to search for streaming video, so I settled for CBC.ca’s audio. After the score was tied at the 3rd period, I couldn’t bear to listen. I turned it off and I waited for friends to text me the results and it […]
Had a great long weekend, including the wedding which topped it off! Easter is always a great holiday to celebrate, aside from the public holidays I always find it a great marker as the beginning of Spring/Summer weather. I didn’t go to crazy but after being here for a couple weeks, it was time to […]
I guess once we’re in our late 20s its officially wedding season for the next decade or so. As the more weddings we attend, the more we realize how there are so few left single. It doesn’t get any easier especially for girls who are recently broken up or have been single for ages – […]
I keep procrastinating, but i’m finally posting a few pic from my farewell party – taken by Andy Kho and his assistant. Although, I managed to steal a few tagged photos to put up as well. If you missed the previous post, here it is: Video LINK: Keep Walking Farewell (Part I) Check out the […]
George scored some tickets at Koolhaus, Guvernment for P.Diddy’s Dirty Money Tour and it was reason enough for all of us to reunite on a Sunday night! It was a reunion of sorts, my Vancity girls and my Citrus boys reminded me what a small world it has truly become!
The boys are throwing me a party and I can’t wait to see everyone! Friends in Toronto, please come out and hopefully I can see some of the familiar faces! On Thursday April 21st, join Citrus as we celebrate Easter at Ame. This cozy yet glamourous spot will set the scene for Citrus Re-United as […]
I finally managed to upload the recap video of my farewell party! Thank you to Eva for helping me edit this and capturing some great moments of the party. Also, the wonderful Saku Mia clutch that matched perfectly with my outfit! Check out the video here.
Over the weekend, you guys caught an episode of me on MYEG Xtra Time. I had to take on an F1 Challenge but due to logistic purposes, we decided to keep it real and do it ghetto styles. I had such a fun time and I was taking on the challenge with the leadership of […]
THAANK YOUUUUUUU to everyone who made it to my party. It has undoubtedly been an amazing journey and I’m glad my close friends and family could celebrate the night with me. I was very teary-eyed and couldn’t help but feel overwhelmed with gratitude for the kind of support I have received and even more support […]
It has been a long week and I have a crazier week ahead. I’m trying not to do the countdown thingy but I’ve got a couple more shoots with ESPN and one last magazine to shoot with stellar fashion mag Oxygen. Plus I shot a couple covers last week! But since I decided to keep […]
Psalm 46 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should change, though the mountains shake in the heart of the sea; though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble with its tumult. Selah There is a river whose streams make […]
Oh do I love my job!!! I was asked to emcee the launch of TAG Heuer’s New Global Concept Boutique in KLCC. The amazingness that is Shah Ruhk Khan would grace us with his presence as he’s one of the International TAG Heuer Brand Ambassadors and was in town to shoot Don 2. Over 300 […]
Thank God for social networking! Let me tell you why: I was in HK for a few days before flying off to Taiwan and I had a little tweet asking where I could see the live broadcast for the Oscars since I wasn’t going to have a TV where I was at and hoping that […]
I’m heading over to Taiwan next weekend to visit my brother and check a new city in Asia. Its a little sad when I think about not having much opportunity to travel outside my workstations: HK, KL and the off-chance SG. So heading to Taiwan is defo overdue.
I’m gonna try something new on my blog where I’ll feature a new person every week who inspire me or are just awesome! They should probably be on your radar too as i’m calling it People To Watch! So this first one is dedicated to New York-bred Hong Kong-based photographer Dan Pak. I had the […]
Its been so ridiculously hot these days in KL and yet I don’t want to complain when I’ve only got weeks left before I go. Anyways, I realized I never quite published a “Motel Series” editorial I did ages ago (back in Toronto Feb 2010) – initially all of us involved were hoping to put […]
There’s an article written by John Malott (former US Ambassador to Malaysia) circulating among Malaysian net-tizens exposing the current state of our country. In my opinion, it speaks a truth that I’ve known to understand from an early age. My family immigrated to Canada for the very reasons that Malott highlights in this article and […]
Just a couple days after returning from a fantastic Christmas/New Years trip, I was ready to do a quick shoot with Firefly’s Inflight magazine: Kunang-Kunang. The entire team was absolutely precious and I got to work with stylist Calvin Cheong (Seethrough) again.
(w T as her plus one last night) Aside from the surprising news that most people received (if they read The Star’s online buzz-site Daily Chilli article ) about me relocating to Canada, I’ve been neglecting my blog because I’m also going to be relocating my blog/website/gallery to a NEEEEEEEEEEEW location. Its not a far […]
A few months ago, I was approached to shoot a feature for Men’s Health Malaysia. Instead of the usual MH Woman where most of the lovely ladies are featured, we opted for a fun editorial out on the beach. For my friends in Toronto roughing out the snowstorms, I hope this’ll warm you up! 😉
Show us how much you love your UV Base Mousse through a picture and a 25 word or less caption to [email protected] and stand a chance to win our iconic UV Base Mousse, the latest Morphorium color paletteand a session with Lisa Yap, our chief make-up artist!
With my date for the wedding, my bff T. Best thing about weddings is that I get to see all my girlies in one place! What a wonderful wedding at the Westin – so private and intimate with delicious steak cooked to perfection! I ate my food so fast that the waiters asked me if […]
This Christmas definitely topped off as one of my favourites, even though isolated in northern China. Spending time with my dad was probably one of the best gifts so far! Hope you’re all enjoying the (winter) holidays even if you may not celebrate Christmas. 🙂
We at Hitz Radar wish you a very Merry Christmas. May your holiday cheer end up with loads of presents! If you guys are tuning in ( TODAY new episode 3:30pm, ch705), we’ve got our jolly boys, Kuah Jen Han, Papi Zak and Douglas Lim – Malaysia’s funniest comedians if you haven’t heard. We’ve also […]
Since December isn’t quite over yet, you can still pick up a couple magazines, namely NuYou and Marie Claire. I did an interview for NuYou awhile back and it started getting me thinking about jewellry. I’m totally into rose gold these days and everytime I shop, I’m always drawn to it. As for Marie Claire, […]
For the last episode of MyEG’s Xtra Time, the producers penned me against Marion for the Bring It Challenge segment of our show. While Marion is in preparation for her highly anticipated wedding (Congrats!) I think winning a challenge was not exactly on the top of her list.. We checked out GAC Adventure in Serdang […]
Last week, I had to shoot back-to-back episodes for Astro Hitz Radar and then make a dash to Media Prima for my interview with Shuib for New Straits Times’ Sunday Special. Sending a big shoutout to the 8TV PR team for sorting out this interview. Even though its hard to admit that I have no […]
Putting my game face on just before it all begins! ..then my co-hosts Hafiz and Henry decided to join in. Getting ready to announce James Baum and Reshmonu’s performances Backstage: Ling from Shu Uemura changing things up while everyone else was frantically working on the rest of my look. Finally delivering our rehearsed announcement of […]
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ThBb2D0zEnw So the webseries that I worked on earlier this year is finally ready. I’ve got the trailer for you guys to see. I had a blast and there were lots of crazy laughs too. Take a look and tell me what you think!
(wearing Henkaa with the Lian women in a row…) As we all know most of my life now is about attending events or hosting events. Its all part of the job, and I’m not complaining one bit! In fact THAT has never been the problem- finding something to wear has. Its hard to simply purchase […]
Last week, I attended the launch of the AIDS Awareness Calendar held at the new Fahrenheit 88 mall. The rain was pouring hard but that didn’t stop the celebrities from coming out. We autographed our photos and took pictures with friends from the PT Foundation and also our wonderful partners at Bodyshop. All of us […]
Looks like those who are aching to jump on the Blackberry bandwagon can do so before Christmas. All it takes, is a little effort. What do you have to do? Send in a picture that depicts how badly YOU want the BlackBerry Curve 3G, make sure it is captioned, stating why you want this device […]
I’m so happy to be rounding off the year with another cover, plus shooting with Clive magazine was such a blast that I just knew I’d be incredibly happy with the photos. Thanks again to a stellar team including those who make me look great, Ming, Calvin, and the happy go-lucky photographer Eric. 🙂 If […]
My turkey got a nice rosemary butter rub before a dip into the oven. For the first time in my life, I celebrated Thanksgiving according to the American calendar (gasp). It felt like i was betraying Canadian Thanksgiving since we celebrate ours in October. Nonetheless, I grouped together my closest friends in KL and our […]
(Snapshot of Clive December 2010) This month is definitely the craziest month I’ve had in the entire year and its barely Dec 2. I always said, “if I could work everyday, I would.” With that in mind, my manager Su said that I got what I asked for after all. With barely a day of […]
Ta-da! I’m in a double H sandwich, slapped inbetween Hafiz and Henry. Among ourselves, we started calling it the SHH Awards as though it was an acronym for our names. (But that was incredibly lame, so i shouldn’t really be sharing this sad joke.) The awesome photographer of the Shout! Awards snapped these wide-angled shots […]
I decided to take a little break from preparations of Shout Awards to talk about my new toy, the Blackberry Torch 9800. Despite a few yays and nays about the touchscreen / keypad hybrid, I’m enjoying this transition into the touchscreen. I’m extremely happy with my new phone so far and I’ve already put my […]
C’mon Malaysia. It’s time we face the facts and start working together to stop the spread of AIDS. I urge you to be the message and be part of the biggest AIDS campaign in Malaysia. Let us remember the 13000 people who have died so far and learn how to prevent it from happening to […]
I’m sure you guys are starting to feel the buzz of the Shout Awards drawing near (November 20th to be exact)! I’ll be hosting this year’s Shout Awards alongside Henry Golding and Hafiz Hatim(from FlyFM) to bring you the best in the country’s Music, TV & Film and Radio. The producers are working up and […]
I got a few reality checks today. As much I hate to admit it, life isn’t exactly perfect and you can’t mold it to what you want no matter how hard you try. Yet at the same time I’m absolutely grateful for everything that’s been thrown at me. My motto this year was “Command and […]
I just shot the pilot episode to my new program Astro Hitz Radar. It’ll be an anchor show to the music station featuring the cool stuff that never gets to see the light of day….but it will now! 🙂 It’ll be an amazing show and I can feel the vibe and the energy already, just […]
OMFFFFF-in G! At 9am in the morning i fell for a prank! Ean and Moots got me on the morning crew’s segment Gotcha. (Its like getting punked but on radio instead) I was supposed to head into the Hitz studio later that day to drop my voice and do some work out there but Moots […]
Ask Ting Ting in the flesh!! Are you guys up for the challenge? There will be an Ask Ting Ting Treasure Hunt held this Friday (Nov 5) at 2pm. We will start at the Holiday Inn Hotel “Golden Mile” in TST, the rest of the route will be kept secret for now. We are happy […]
Since I thoroughly enjoyed myself at the last AnD Dead Not Alive party in 2009, I decided another Halloween must be spent in HK. The madness wasn’t as bad this time since the location at Hyde was a side-step away from the hectic-ness in LKF. (Phew!)
Its been a week already since the event and I apologize for the delay in blogging. Its really been one of the craziest weeks to date! (i’m sure it will only get worse) Anyhow, I’m catching up on all my blogging from Hong Kong and resting after a crazy Halloween event (will be blogging about […]
Watched last week’s episode with me and Cheryl Samad on ESPN’s MyEG Xtra Time??? If you’re wondering where I’m getting these rockin outfits from, they’re by local made company called Wear Sin, plus they are actually giving out free clothes on their fb page ,just tag yourself in this album and you could score a […]

(Profile – sneak peek) My long overdue profile shots were finally done this morning with the help of an amazing team at WhiteRoom Studio. Izzat and Mahfizam who patiently worked the studio til I was happy. I know I can be a little bossy when it comes to art directing my own shoot but they […]
This morning I had the chance to emcee the launch of Shu Uemura’s flagship boutique in KLCC and also reveal the new Christmas Collection with the collaboration of Aya Takano. I wasn’t too sure how it would all turn out but I’d say the transformation turned out very interesting! First they started crimping – def […]
(A blurry sneak peak of my latest shoot) WOW! Hallelujah and Amen! I’ve got to really thank God and count my lucky stars! This’ll be a whirlwind of a week before counting down to my Halloween in HK! 🙂 (Yes, yours truly will be attending the fun-filled Dead Not Alive party, and I can’t wait) […]
Check out this awesome feature on the last page of Female’s October issue. I’m a little random when people ask me about style. If you asked me 4 years ago when I came out of Fashion School. I would have been absolutely particular about my fashion sense, my dos and donts and etc. Nowadays, I […]
With handsome Breakfast Show host -Hansen Lee Events Galore! Wow, since I’ve been eventing quite a bit, I’m gonna stay in a little more this week and work on my stamina for Nike’s 10km run. (Cheh, I know i’m only doing 5k) I was lucky to be invited to a few events notably these big […]
With Choy Wan holding our engraved plaques proudly! 😉 Because I didn’t bring my camera, I don’t have any photos of my own. However, being tagged on FB and the assortment of photographers at the event means I can steal a few pics here and there for people to see! Its a covergirl sandwich! All […]
I’m finally getting settled in my new place and we’ve got another addition to the suite. Meet Quinn Fabray (named after the impregnated cheerleader on Glee) this blue-eyed himalayan is pretty as can be.I’ve never really been much of a cat person but she’s defn grown on me with the fact that she likes getting […]
My bff put me in this selendang and said it’s called the “Siti Look” (as in Siti Nurhaliza). Does it suit me? 🙂 I’m just finishing the tail end of Hari Raya open houses and I still cannot get enough of lemang!!! It’s my favourite! Once again, Selamat Hari Raya semua! <3

Ah Boy-my work mule 🙂 It’s finally out!! I shot a commercial a while back for MyEG’s new commercial. Most of you are familiar with their “Glee” musical type commercials but this time they opted for a localized one. Once I read the script, I signed up immediately. I mean, who could resist? Sarah Lian […]
(Jehan Miskin, Melissa Indot, Henry Golding, Ninie Ahmad, me) I was graciously invited to participate as one of 15 celebs in RIM’s Ultimate Blackberry Race Event this Saturday (thanks to Joyce for the invite). I’m on my last leg of my KL>HK>SG>HK>KL trip and the late/early flights have yet to cease. I’ve had to do some massive flying recently for work, work and more work and I haven’t even had time to open up my laptop -i’m not complaining. I’ve been doing my crazy email on not 1 but […]

Journalist/Social Media/Activist Niki Cheong approached me and a few others about participating in the “Say Sorry” Campaign for Malaysia. Part of this campaign has stemmed from the recent hot topic about drug trafficker Yong Vui Kong seeking the Singaporean government for a 2nd chance. Although it has been known that drug trafficking is a serious […]

All of us finally together…welcome back Kam!;) The great thing about Ramadan is rounding up the girls for a major catch-up session for buka puasa. Since I am not Muslim, I don’t fast- but I respect my girlfriends for using this time as reflection (and starvation to lose weight). You start to notice how delirious […]
There has been recent buzz in the papers about the increasing number of baby dumping occurrences. In case you don’t know what it means, its abandoning children. This offense can easily charge you with attempted murder in which a couple has been the first in the country to be convicted of this felon. I know […]
Ugghh, talk about backward mentality.I read such a disturbing article and I’m upset that a daily like Utusan would even let such a racist person have a column in their paper. This person acts as though non-Malays should have no rights in this country. World, please comment. Utusan columnist tells critics to ‘go home’ By […]
(Henry and I hosting Levi’s CURVE ID Launch) Its one thing to host an event, and its another to host a Levi’s event. 🙂 Big thank you to Choonster(and the rest of VIBES) for being a darling to work with, Henry for always making hosting super fun, and Levi’s for another great opportunity! The event […]
Since my family moved to Vancouver almost 20 years ago, Mama Lian only makes her way back to the land of rubber and tin every 5 years. Luckily, I was around this time she made her way down to KL. I’ve been trying to find time to spend with her inbetween flights, events and what […]
Twas a beach party at Zouk for Clive’s 2nd Anniversary party! I had a ball catching up with a few friends since I haven’t seen everyone in a long while! The picture above is of the ladies who have rocked the Clive cover and of course, Clive Editor himself Robert Chan who has done a […]
I’ve been feeling like everyday keeps getting better. My better half encourages me to think positively and to channel good energy. So i’ve been feeling excellent (minus the mosquito bite attacks). More recently, attention has been drawn on my weight and that I’m looking rather skinny. Its quite funny as different industries’ appropriate beauty in […]
Woot! A great start to August with a wonderful feature from FHM Malaysia. We shot this at the end of May to quickly piece in for the June issue, but with a bit of a shuffle, out I came in August! Had a g-chat (hence cybering) with the editor and most of the time we […]
My manager has been shuffling in and out of meetings. Hearing whispers here and there, some people know, some are waiting to find out. I’m so excited to announce my next project, but I can’t just yet!!! Eeekkkssss…the suspense is killing me (and i hope u guys too)!
How do you not fall in love with this face? I’ve been trying to spend as much family time as I can scheduled inbetween meetings and visits to my favourite places.. Nail Basics in TTDI (Seriously the best selection of OPI products) Nike and Shu Uemura. They’re all definitely keeping me busy, updating me on […]
Just before the month ends, I almost forgot to blog about a shoot I did last month. The photographer was nice enough to send me the hi-res versions of the selected pictures. I met the team at Aberdeen and were whisked away on a beautiful yacht! The shoot went very smoothly and everyone was just […]
I finally went on a much needed-mini vacation to Malaysia’s wonderful getaway spot, Pulau Perhentian. The morning trip started with a 7am flight but after reaching our beach by 11am, paradise was certainly an understatement. I managed to sneak in a couple snorkelling trips swimming with turtles and baby sharks. The water is beautiful and everything […]
After being sun-burnt and bbq-ed out (will blog about it later), I returned back to KL to a whole new dimension of futurism. I had been waiting for Shu Uemura’s Tokyo Lash featuring Blackbook Artists Event. Last year was fantastic and this year was absolutely rocking. Yummy food, drinks and great ambience really set the […]
Guess what everyone? I can finally chat a little more about the travel guide I was filming in Hong Kong! After grueling shooting schedules, on-the-spot memorization of lines, more mosquito bites and city trekking, the wait is finally over!!! ask Ting Ting will be ready to launch in August! Yesterday, I had a delightful meeting […]
(my unused Shanghai Tang mugs) I feel a little guilty that I haven’t been as social as I could be. I’ve been really appreciating my downtime more often than ever. I generally prefer eating at home cooking and being completely aware with what my body is ingesting. A lot of restaurants out here use so […]
Doing promo photos for my latest project… I’ve been filming a web-series for the past 2 weeks with an amazing talented cast and crew. I’m not too sure what I’m allowed to say or not say but I know that the dedication to this project has paid off! I’ll be the first to admit that […]
I was just about to type in, I had so much fun at this shoot and then it dawned on me that i always have fun on my shoots! What an amazing team and we managed to rock out a few awesome looks in such a short afternoon. We went to some serious jungle trekking […]
Don’t Blink! So the commercial I shot last month is now aired in Hong Kong! We took a variety of shots when filming and they stuck with the close-up shot which is pretty cool! As you can see, the infamous Moses Chan is part of this campaign with big ads posted in MTR stations throughout! […]
When I meet someone, usually the first question people usually ask me is, “Where are you from?” It’s such a simple question really, one word answers are often welcomed but its never really easy coming from me. A series of thoughts run through my head: Where do I live now? Where did I spend my […]
I’ve been trying to be a little more consistent when it comes to blogging to update everyone about my whereabouts. But I doubt that ever works cuz it seems as though every 2-3 weeks will mean i’m put on a plane to a new city. 🙂 I got a lovely invite about the launch and […]
Last Sunday, I celebrated Fathers Day with Teja and her Papa. I’d like to think i’m the cina daughter he never had. 🙂 We dined at Las Carretas in Damansara for some festive Mexican and Papa Saleh reminisced stories of his days as a Foreign Exchange Student in Oregon in the late 60s. Its kinda […]

Haven’t you heard about it yet??? (with my message at Studio Pasche) Check out: AIDSaware.ruumz.com The development of this project was a result of James and I having drinks at the newly opened Zouk Cafe in MidValley a couple months ago. After considering the feasibility of this project, Project Alpha host Jojo Struys took it […]
After finding out that I had booked a job with Bvlgari, I was estatic! Bvlgari Malaysia was celebrating 10 years of B.zero1 and launching the new collection featuring world-class renowned contemporary artist Anish Kapoor. I felt a little embarassed not knowing some of his work until i stumbled on the “bean” located in Chicago’s Millenium […]
Sorry for the delay in scanning the article. I hope next time I can actually post something in the current so that people can still have a chance in getting a copy while the issue is out. You can see I tried to plug ‘Jasmine’ and a few other things going on in my life […]
I should be sleeping, but as usual I’m not one that is disciplined enough to keep a strict schedule when it comes to doing things on my own time. I’m a few days late telling everyone that we’re in the second half of the year now-not that it really needs to be pointed out. April […]
(in the makeup chair) Last week was mega hectic because of all the early days, early flights and late night events. I had a 3 hour nap and I was already on the way to my next shoot. I’ve been playing a lot with my new Panasonic camcorder and have been pretty crap when it […]
So i took a quick weekend break back to KL to resume my spot with Hennessy Artistry. Not only do they throw the best parties, they also know how to find a unique mix of local with international artists. This event was no different and I had an amazing time in both QEII in Penang […]
I got an invite the other day from my girl Tasha for Shu Uemura Hong Kong’s Tokyo Lash Bar event. It was held at the Art Center in Wanchai and the venue was super cool with a major futuristic vibe. The models at the event were Cara G, Jessica C and Christine Kuo (reppin Tdot […]
