I WON SHISEIDO!!!

By admin

I returned from my Awards Ceremony and I was awarded with the 2007 Shiseido Design Recognition Award for designing a poster for Shiseido. The funny part was that I was my own model for the photoshoot!! So I get to have both perks as the designer and as the model in the picture!

I recieved CDN$1000 as the First Place Winner as well as Beauty Products from Shiseido’s The Skincare line.  It was such an honour to meet the President of Shiseido Canada, as well as the marketing dept. – Sales, Product Manager, Training and etc. They were giving me their cards to look towards a future in Shiseido!

So far, there are 3 major competitions in the School of Fashion – Communication Stream. McGregor Marketing/Brand Competition, Flare Communications and Shiseido Design Recognition. I have won 2 of them!!! So be proud, because I’m proud to leave a legacy at Ryerson prior to graduation!

Here are some pictures of my night and my winning poster! Enjoy!

If it was not in alignment, I would be able to let things go and make peace with it. Learning how to honour myself above anyone else has given me clarity about how I want to create my future.

I’ll admit it has been scary because sometimes I worried if I wasn’t good enough to do so. But, I knew if I wanted to level up in life, I had to pay the price.

I tried my best to maximise my time with the people I care about and opted for the best experiences that were of worth and value to me. It’s been 20 years since I’ve left Vancouver and I’ve never felt more at home. This has been such a beautiful time of play, discovery and bliss. 😍

I saw this scripture during service and it was a good excerpt to anchor what I’ve been feeling over the past few months. I’m not chasing earthly possessions or the kind of clout I need from others to feel whole. I’m heading back to KL armed with a different perspective. I’m finding more peace and more joy in the little things in life. It’s a new level of exciting. 🙌🏻
