Don't Judge a Party by its Goodie-bag!

By admin

Top 40 Invite Front

This weekend, I popped by the Prestige Top 40 Under 40 party as a guest who wanted to take advantage of the free booze. Just kidding! (I didn’t realize until i got there, that Brandy was the drink of choice that night) Layan-layan and then more and more chit chat with more and more people that I “should” know, but don’t know yet.

A handful of the Top 40 Candidates were part of the entertainment industry, which was great to see! Simply because it can sometimes be a marginalized industry -in my opinion. But i was very comforting seeing the different people of all ages under 40 being recognized for their contribution (cough-Money) and their work (cough-more Money) to the country. Big snaps to u all!

As my lovely dates and I were leaving,a couple of them took their goodie bags and ciaoed. Unfortunately, I didn’t want to lug a huge thing around but I saw so many nice things inside. My bff T was showing me all the spa packages, salon vouchers, discount this, papers that, bottles of this, small gifts tat. I was so jealous. But I think that’s where u leave the lasting impression… imagine:

A: Hey where did u get that?

B: At the xxx party.

A: Sweet! They gave that away?

B: Ya man! Awesome right?

A: Man, I wish I was there.

Anyways, don’t mind the voices in my head. After a hop to Frangi and a skip to Velvet, I found myself having a fab time with my darlings! Trying to tell more but not knowing how to cough out juicy info on a public blog…. I guess this is normal for some people to divulge but not only am I trying to keep my privacy, I gotta keep my friend’s as well. Also, the Facebook friend invites are getting a little ridiculous. Its not that I’m trying to ignore people (which is what i’m doing), I just can’t have random people trying to look into my private life if they just saw me on tv and want to add. That’s what Myspace is for!
