Video LINK: Dear Vancouver

When I meet someone, usually the first question people usually ask me is, “Where are you from?”
It’s such a simple question really, one word answers are often welcomed but its never really easy coming from me.
A series of thoughts run through my head:
Where do I live now?
Where did I spend my childhood?
Where did I grow up?
Where was I born?
If any of you have read my interviews, I spent most of my life in Vancouver. Always multi-ethnic neighbourhoods with other immigrant friends/families and with most colourful memories ever. I spent nearly half my life there moving from house to house, school to school, and suburb to suburb until I finally settled in Burnaby.  My friend/neighbour Jae (3PM) recently posted a vid about the beautiful city i grew up in. What a great snapshot of what Vancouver really is:
