For my first post of 2012, I wanted to share my motto for the year. It comes from this quote and I hope it’ll be a good reminder for me to stay disciplined.
My motto this year is: MASTER OF MY UNIVERSE.


There are lots of projects I’ve been working on and if I am able to manage my time better and get through my personal hurdles. I think it’ll be a great step towards having a fulfilling new year!
This year I really want to focus on discipline, especially for my Heart, Body and Soul. <3   Self-discipline is “a type of selective training, creating new habits of thought, action, and speech toward improving yourself and reaching your goals.”

Habits, when carefully chosen and systematically implemented, have two main benefits:

1. Habits exercise our capability to choose.
2. Habits automate our thinking and our behavior.

Now that we know how habits help us in our goal to build self-discipline, it’s time to look at a framework for creating habits that last.
There are five distinct steps to habit creation:

1. Choose a specific habit.
2. Identify your motivation.
3. Change your environment.
4. Measure your progress.
5. Reward your success.

Like the proverb above states, mastering yourself is true power. I think its time that I started making better decisions and building good habits that will enable me to reach my goals in life. I have such a great network and a support system that it really is upon me to reach as far as I possibly can. A journey starts with a single step! 😉
